Canonet first roll film

This is the first film from my camera Canonet QL17. This film from Fuji Centuria 200 fresh. I eager to know the result from this camera because this is my first Range Finder camera. Would like know the meter reading accuracy, precision and accuracy Manual and Auto Aperture mode.

I send this film to DO at Photo Lab .. But this time i got frustrating result from this Photo Lab. I do not know what his problem. I think that lab chemical quality is poor or weak. Overall my negative is look like under develop (chemical strength is weak) .. dim .. dull .. and the color also shift.

Chemical that they use it I guess it is too dirty. Many small dots on my images. About the under expose I still can not be sure yet whether caused chemical that has expired or metering of this Canonet.

New Gen..

The lab that I send to do this DO is the second shop, and both I rejected. After this I had to find the lab with higher reputation to get the best results. I have thought to try myself to do C41 process .. but I want to make sure first that I have expert in B&W process.

This is some snapshot of a series of random images from film Fuji Superia Xtra 400 with a Nikon FM10 camera with 50mm 1.8 lens from the E series. The DO is done from a photo lab in the FotoZoom Taman Putra Ampang and scanned again using Epson V330 scanner.

My first color film

This is my first color film... Fuji Centuria 200 expired.

This photo taken using Nikon FM10 film camera with 50mm 1.8 Series E lens. Exposure time is based on the metering of this FM10. Since there is no film data embedded, I can not identify the exposure settings for each picture taken.
In the future I hope will make a note to record the film exposure time, aperture used, the date and time, and a little note about the place and the picture taken.

 

Using expired film is a challenge for me because of lack of knowledge about them. I just take the picture, send to process and waiting for the results. After the scan (scan) using the EPSON V300, I found a large number of pictures that I captured was under exposed, color cast and so forth do not know how to describe it. :D

50mm 1.8D & 85mm 1.4D is not compatible with Nikon FM10

Here i got a problem with 50mm 1.8 AF-D lens when attach to Nikon FM10 body.
The problem is the i can't completely press the shutter button when this lens attached.
After did some investigation, i found out the mirror only flip half way. Look like it stuck at back lens (i don't know the exact term to call this part). After i unmount the lens the shutter click completely. I did test with all my lens event have no problem with my 18-55 VR kit lens.
Resource i gather from Internet, 50mm 1.8 AF-D is should be compatible with Nikon FM10.
Arrgghhh... make me think to let go this lens for another 50mm prime lens.

85mm 1.4 AF-D also not compatible with Nikon FM10 - Updated on 25th June 2011
